Rivals.com says Seisay has 14 offers and picked up some good news Tuesday Nov 28th after a visit from FSU defensive coordinator Mark Stoops.
"I've been in contact with Florida State since they watched my film and really liked it," Seisay said. "They came by for a visit because they wanted to see how I move out there at cornerback in practice and then afterwards I was offered a scholarship from FSU."
"The first thing Coach Stoops said was that I have great hands. He also likes how I'm a playmaker that is a ball hawk out there and always being around the football," Seisay said. "I'm not just making the interceptions but big tackles as well. He likes my size and how rangy I am and how I would fit into their system. All the coaches recruiting like me as a corner. That's what I've always played."
Warchant.com reported him explaining what some of his strengths are and even areas he's improved from his freshman year at the University of Memphis, a school he left because of a coaching change. "I think I bring a lot of experience, since I've already played Division I-A football at Memphis," he said. "My IQ on the field is pretty good and I feel that's a strength - reading how plays are developed to be a step ahead. I had six interceptions this year."
Since he was just offered by FSU, what does Seisay actually know about the 'Noles? Apparently he is very familiar with their defense and history of cornerbacks.
"I know they have a very nasty defense that plays with a lot of swagger and confidence, that's what I've always loved about that defense. I also like the great resume that Coach Stoops has with defensive backs and how he has developed players," he said. "I would love to play for a coach with that kind of background. You look at their history of cornerbacks that goes all the way back to Deion Sanders, so it's an impressive resume. I wouldn't mind being a part of that."
So now that he has an offer in hand, is there a official visit to FSU planned in the near future?
"I have to do some more research to make sure I'm going to take an official to FSU. I need to talk with my older brother, who is a big part of my recruitment and simply discuss us getting over there," he noted.
Seisay has no shortage of offers from top programs. Currently he holds offers from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Illinois and North Carolina. Seisay has already taken two official visits, one to Nebraska on Nov. 4 and Indiana on Oct. 28. He has also scheduled an official visit to Arkansas on Dec. 4, which leaves two open spots. During his visit, what factors were important to him when breaking everything down?
"I would say playing time is pretty important. Obviously, the type of scheme of the defense is important and the relationship with the coaches," he said. "I would like to play in a pro style defense that will get me to the next level. I plan to break down my list of schools soon."
Seisay originally played at Memphis, but left after his freshman year when Tim Walton (Defensive coordinator) took a job with the Detroit Lions. He ended up at Eastern Arizona JC and will graduate from in late December. He will be a January enrollee. He will have two years of eligibility.
