The Insight Bowl of 2011 will be hosted by the Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. This outdoor football stadium is located on the campus of Arizona State University. The stadium can hold about 71,000 people at capacity. The stadium is generally used for Arizona State University football games, and has hosted the Fiesta Bowl for 35 years. In 2006, the Sun Devil Stadium began to host the Insight Bowl. For fans wishing to attend the Insight Bowl this year, here is a guide to make sure finding the best seats at Sun Devil stadium for the Insight Bowl is no arduous task.
The Sun Devil Stadium features three levels of seating, similar to that of many college football stadiums. These three levels include the lower level, the 100 level, and the 200 level.
The lower level holds sections 1 through 41, and is the closest level to the field, putting fans at an exciting viewpoint. Fans sitting in this lower level should be ready to pay top-dollar for the best seats in the stadium. These lower-level sections each of 50 rows of seating, save for sections 15-22 and 37-41, which have 35 and 31 rows, respectively. For fans wishing to be close to the 50-yard line, on top of the game's action, look in sections 6, 7, 8, 29, 30, and 31, located closest to the middle on each side of the stadium. Tickets in the first few rows of these sections at this level will be the most expensive.
The 100 level of the Sun Devil Stadium continues common seating, but with a much smaller seating area. Whether fans are sitting in the first or last row of this level, there will not be much difference considering there are only 6 rows to each of the 54 sections. The middle-most seats at this level are in sections 105, 106, 107, 133, 134, or 135, putting fans closer to the action at the center of the field.
The 200 level at the Sun Devil stadium is the highest level, and the farthest from the field. Each of the 47 sections here has 40 rows of seating, providing plenty of options for fans. Fans wishing to be close to the middle of the field should try for tickets in the middle sections of 206, 207, 241, and 242.
