Nani has revealed that even if he has won the Manchester United's Player of the Year award last season, he regularly gets the 'hairdryer' treatment from Sir Alex Ferguson.
The winger was asked about the infamous hairdryer during an interview and the Portugal star revealed: 'I get it a lot, but it is normal. The manager expects more from me and he is very direct.' Nani has also said that he has the utmost respect for his manager.
'Everyone knows the way Sir Alex Ferguson works and he is so fantastic that young lads improve very quickly with him. No one understands the game like Alex Ferguson. When Nani did this interview he was alongside Ashley Young and Michael Carrick at Old Trafford answering fans question. Carrick also revealed that players did not know that Paul Scholes was going to play against Manchester City in the FA Cup clash they had earlier this month.
'I didn't know until I arrived in the dressing room before the game. It was a huge surprise that he'd be involved. The players are now looking forward to the second part of the season where their main objective is to defend the Premier League title. Carrick also commented on Arsenal and said: 'In the early part of the season they would have been disappointed with how they performed, but looking at recent months they have done well. They won't be challenging for the title but they are favourite to get at least a Champions League spot'.
Young revealed that Gunners legend Ian Wright was his footballing idol growing up and added: 'Early part of the season they were up and down with the results. They have now acquired a great confidence and I think they will do well in the second part of the season'. Nani commented on rivals City and said: 'City have done fantastically well this season and are improving quickly. Chelsea are a bit down but we can't rule them out as yet.'
When asked about the Premier League title Carrick added' It's close at the moment, but we are confident we can catch up with City. The bar has been raised this year though so we shall see.'Even if Manchester United are not first in the table, they are still the bookmakers' favourite to lift the title in the Football Betting market.
