China as the 2012 team world champion... again.

On sunday, in Dortmunt (Germany), the chinese team has bacome the 2012 world team champions. It was a pretty fast, 3:0 match by Zhang JIke, Ma Long and Wang Hao against the germans Timo Boll, Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Patrick Baum. By this, the chinese has shown their dominance again and that by now, no one can actually equal to them. The croud was amazing bringing the german team a lot of motivation, which we could see in the semi-final with Japan, when the germans had won by a 3:1.

In the first match Zhang JIke defeated Timo Boll in a very competitive match. When everything seemed to be over in this match having a 2:0 for the chinese, Timo took the law into his own hands and leveled to 2:2. In the last set Timo seemed to be blocked. The chinese was almost destroing him giving him almost none chances to do something in this set. The beginnng of the set was 6:0 for Zhang, than Timo won the next two points having a 6:2. After a time-out for Zhang, Timo won an another point, but after that Zhang JIke won a point an brough a 7:3. Than it was just a point to point until 11:6 for the chinese.

The second match was a Ma Long vs Dimitrij Ovtcharov. The match ended up with a 3:0 for Ma. The whole match was actually pretty spactacular although the result. The first set started with a 5:2 for the chinese, than a 8:2 and finishing with a 11:3. The next set started much better for the german woth a 5:1 for him. After a while it became 6:2, than 8:3 with a great beckhand shot from Ovtcharov. At the end Dima had a great chance to level up the reasult with a 9:5 for him. Although the time out, the germans had when it became 9:7, Ma leveled the result and brough a 9:9. After all, the chinese won the set by 11:9.
The last set started with a 4:4. Than, in a nice rallly it became 5:4 fo Ma. After some great shots from the chinese, it became 8:6 for him. When it was 10:7, Ovtcharov started winning some points. After the time-out for the chinese, when it was 10:9, Ma won the match by 13:11 giving the chinese the second point in the whole match.

The third, and the last match was pretty closer than the second one with a 3:1 for Wang Hao over Patrick Baum.
The first set was pretty close starting with a 5:5. Than Patrick brought a 8:6 for him giving the germans some last hopes and after all won the set by 11:8.
In the next set Patrick was keeping playing very agresive, starting the set by 4:4. Alhough the good play from the german, Wang ended the set with a fast 11:5 for him.

Wang Hao didn't stop his great performance and destroyed Patrick with a 11:5 again.
In the fourth set Wang, heving a big advantage from his opponent had no problems to start the set with a 5:2 for him. After a while Patrick Baum stated winning points after points and leveled up to a 7:7. After a while, Wang had a 10:9 giving the german team none hopes for this final. Even if the chinese was almost there to win the match and give his team the tittle, Patrick took the law into his own hands and leveled the result by 10:10. At the end, Wang Hao won the match by 12:10 and china became the new 2012 world team champion.
