Xu Xin to be the winner of the Qatar Open 2012 edition defeating Wang Hao in a 7 sets match. The match brought us a lot of emotions and a lot of great performance coming from both players.
The first set was pretty close and already gave us some good rallys. When it was 5:3 for Xu Xin, he didn't give Wang any chances playing an incredible topspin, which seemed actually to be played to Wang's backhand, but in fact the ball went to his forehand surprising Wang pretty much. After a while Xu run uot with a 7:3 for him, than 9:6 and finally 11:6 which brought him a 1:0 advantage in the match.
The next set was a bit closer starrting with a great sidespin from Xu Xin. When it became to 5:4 for Xu both players came up with a great counter topspin rally. After some time Wang took the law into his own hands and made a 8:6 advantage for him winning the set by 11:7 leveling the match to 1:1.
The third set was even more exciting. Starting with a great counter topspin rally just like in the second set, than 7:5 with an another great rally. After that, both players leveled up with a 9:9, but than Wang came up with 11:9 win and had 2:1 in the match.
The next set was definitely the fastest one with a 11:4 win for Wang Hao and bringing the match to perhaps the last set having 3:1.
The fifth set was definitely one of the most exciting in this game. Starting with a 4:4, than 5:5, than a 7:6 for Xu, 7:7 and 9:9. After that Wang seemed to be done for this final having a 10:9. Unfortunately for him, he did a bad mistake putting the ball into the net with his backhand. At least Xu won the set by 12:10.
The next set wasn't maybe that close, but it was definitely a nice set with some really good rallys. In this set Wang didn't have that much chances bacause of Xu Xin's great play. Starting with a 5:4 for Xu, than 8:4, 9:5 and finally 11:5.
The last set of this great final was definitely the most spectacular and exciting one. It started with a 6:4 for Xu Xin, than 7:5, when both players played an amazing rally with a lot counter topspins and a great smash from Wang Hao at the end. After a while Xu made a 9:6, which brought him a big domination, but Wang didn't get demoralised and leveled up with a 9:9. After that Wang seemed to get so confident winning an another poing having a championship point. When Wang was so close to the tittl, Xu showed he is still into this game defending the match point. When it got 10:10 and the pressure got so visible Xu won the next two point winning ending this final with a great rally.
So there we go, the 2012 Qatar Open winner is Xu Xin.
