The Fishing Report

Many people love to fish, but it's more than just enjoying nature, relaxing and catching fishing. I believe that fishing is more therapeutical than anything. It truly gives people their own personal therapy session. Whether you're fly fishing in the mountains, trophy fishing in the ocean, or bass fishing in a pond, fishing can be the best medicine one can get!

People these days spend a lot of money on psychologists because they feel they need "mental help" but I believe all one truly needs is to reconnect with nature. God created people to be interactive with the outdoors and when we miss out on that, we're missing out on what we were created to do.

So check your local fishing report, get your fishing supplies, and head to the water. If you have never fished before, then don't be afraid to try something new. It may be that you have found your newest hobby! It's also a good idea to take someone with you. Whether it be your father, your son, or your brother, fishing is more fun when you have someone to share it with.

You may not even catch one fish, but most fisherman will tell you that it's not about catching the fish, it's about being in the water and connecting with nature.

If you don't have a fishing rod and reel, don't fret. A lot of places rent fishing equipment, and if you can't find somewhere to rent, you can get a pretty inexpensive setup that won't put a hardship on your wallet.

Boat rentals are generally pretty expensive, but you don't have to fishing from a boat. Sometimes the biggest fish are hunkered under a big log laying right there by the shore. However, if you do want to rent a boat, remember to bring a cooler to store your fish!

If you do choose to keep your fish, you will probably want to eat them. Google has a lot of resources on how to skin and prepare your fish for cooking. If you're not interested in cooking, and you have a big enough fish, you could always consider mounting it. Now you can hang your memories on the wall of your house for everyone to see!

In conclusion, do something with nature. Whether it be fishing, hunting, camping, or hiking, get outside and do something good for yourself and what you were created for!
