Matchday 24 of the Barclay's English Premier League 2011/12 has already seen two crackers of a game after Arsenal dominate Blackburn at home with a staggering 7-1 victory, with Gunners captain, Robin van Persie scoring a hat-trick. Meanwhile, leaders, Manchester City managed to go 3 points clear of the defending champions, Manchester United, (although playing an extra game) after a 3-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium against Fulham.
Today, we will be in for an amazing treats as Stamford Bridge will host another epic game between rivals Chelsea and Manchester United, with the Premier League Title at stake. Due to rise of clubs like Manchester City and Tottenham, this game isn't as what it used to be. A point worth noting is that these two teams have been sharing the Premier League for the last seven years. But this time around it's all about Sir Alex Ferguson's side hot on the trail of Manchester City while André Villas-Boas will be working hard for that final spot in the Champion's League with an in-form Arsenal only 2 points behind them (again an extra game played).
Nevertheless, Chelsea cannot be ruled out as an easy game for United, as their last win at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League when United crushed Chelsea 3-0 way back in 2002.
With the absence of John Terry and Ashley Cole in defence, the former due to a knee injury and the latter due to receiving a red card during Chelsea's game against Swansea, will take a huge hit while thwarting United's attack. Chelsea's newest signing; Gary Cahill will make his debut right in the heart of the defence.
Other absentees for Chelsea will be Brazilian midfielder Ramires (knee injury), Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel (hamstring injury) and Ivorian strikers Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou who are both away on International Duty.
This would leave Spaniard, Fernando Torres in the frontline.
Manchester United will be playing David De Gea in front of goal due to an ankle injury suffered by Anders Lindegaard.
Absentees for United include Phil Jones (ankle injury), Darren Fletcher, Serbian defender Nemanja Vidic (knee injury) and the Brazilian Anderson. However, with the return of Nani, Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young and Tom Cleverley, United have definitely something to look forward to as they go guns blazing to Stamford Bridge.
Another game to look forward to is the another cracker at Anfield as unstoppable Tottenham go p against the now in-form Liverpool.
