2011 Chick fil A Bowl Tickets Guide and Tips

On December 31, 2011, the Georgia Dome will host the Chick fil A Bowl game, a match-up between teams on the Southeastern Conference (the SEC) and the Atlantic Coast Conference(the ACC). The game has been played in the Georgia Dome since 1991. The Georgia Dome is located in the city of Atlanta, Georgia and is home the Atlanta Falcons football team. Below is a guide the Georgia Dome and how to pick the best seats for fans attending the Chick fil A Bowl this year.

Until 1999, the Georgia dome was the largest domed structure. It is the eleventh-oldest stadium in the NFL. it was completed in 1992 at the cost of $214 million dollars. Being a dome stadium, weather is never an issue with every seat covered from any detrimental weather. The stadium features three levels of seatings, including the 100 Level, 200 Level, and 300 Level, each offering a unique vantage point for fans.

The 100 Level is the closest level to the field at the Georgia Dome. It has 40 sections, each with 24 rows, numbered accordingly. These are the most expensive seats in the dome because of the close proximity to the field, and are even more expensive if tickets are bought for sections 115, 115, 135, or 135 since these are the middle-most sections. For those fans willing the pay, the view of the action of the game is well worth it, being so close to the 50-yard line.

The 200 Level, a little farther from the field than the 100 Level, has 52 sections with just 16 rows each. At this level, the middle-most seats are found in sections 221 and 222 on the home side and 247 and 248 on the visitor side. For a better view of what is happening on each side of the field, fans will find these sections the to have the best seats at this level.

The 300 Level at the Dome is the farthest from the field and has 52 sections, each with 26 rows of seating. At this level, the middle-most sections are 321 and 322 on the home side, and 347 and 348 on the visitor side. These sections boast the best views at the highest level of the dome.

Because it is a dome, all stadium seats at the Georgia Dome are protected from the elements and the temperature in the stadium is usually in the high 60s. Jeans and a light jacket are appropriate attire within the dome.
